About Expedia
Expedia is a broad online travel marketplace where travelers can research and book accommodation, flights, transport, and things to do. Tours and activities sit alongside the other parts of a trip, giving experience providers visibility within a well-known travel-planning environment rather than only within a dedicated activities site. Kanalio is integrated with Expedia. The data and actions available through the connection depend on the channel, the account permissions, and the configuration enabled for your business.
How to integrate Expedia with Kanalio
Before starting, make sure your Expedia Local Expert supplier account has been approved and that your products, offers, and ticket types have been created with your Expedia Destination Manager.
- Sign in to your Kanalio dashboard.
- Open Settings.
- Select Plugins.
- Find OTA Connector and activate it.
- Open OTA Connector, find Expedia, and activate the connection.
- Ask your Expedia Destination Manager for the latest Expedia product CSV. It must include the products, offers or schedules, and ticket types you want to connect.
- Import the Expedia CSV file into the Expedia connector in Kanalio.
- For each imported Expedia product, select the matching Kanalio activity and continue to its configuration.
- Map each Expedia offer or option to the corresponding Kanalio option, then map the ticket categories such as Adult, Child, or Infant. Save each mapping.
- Copy the mapped-product export link shown by the connector and send it to your Expedia contact so Expedia can complete the mapping on its side.
After activation
Whenever you add a product, offer, option, or ticket type in Expedia, request an updated CSV, import it into Kanalio, and update the mapping. A connection is not complete until the mapped-product information has also been processed by Expedia.
