About Google Things to Do

Google Things to Do is a Google travel-discovery surface for tours, activities, and visitor attractions. It allows eligible product information from operators and distribution partners to appear during relevant Google search and travel-planning journeys, helping travelers move from destination research toward a booking option. Kanalio is integrated with Google Things to Do. The data and actions available through the connection depend on the channel, the account permissions, and the configuration enabled for your business.

How to integrate Google Things to Do with Kanalio

Before starting, check that each product meets Google's eligibility requirements. A standard listing needs a relevant point of interest, a unique image of at least 300 × 300 px without promotional text, watermarks, or logos, an owned product-detail URL with a booking action, and an appropriate guided or self-guided category. The Operator Booking Module also requires a claimed Google Business Profile that appears on Google Maps.

  1. Sign in to your Kanalio dashboard.
  2. Open Settings.
  3. Select Plugins.
  4. Find OTA Connector and activate it.
  5. Open OTA Connector, find Google Things to Do, and activate the connection.
  6. Request the Google Things to Do connection from the connector. The products must pass an eligibility review before they can be submitted.
  7. Review each product's title, description, inventory type, confirmation type, fulfillment method, images, highlights, inclusions, exclusions, and safety information.
  8. Review every option and provide its category, applicable languages, duration, base-ticket information, price, and cancellation policy.
  9. Add the product-detail landing-page URL and the related location. Use the correct Google Place ID and specify whether the option includes admission, no admission, or a supplementary add-on.
  10. If you use the Operator Booking Module, add the exact Google Business Profile name, Business Profile ID, Business Address Place ID, and phone number. These values must match the live profile.
  11. Save the configuration and submit the connection for review.

After activation

Approval depends on Google's current eligibility and content requirements. Products that are missing required content or location information may need to be updated and submitted again. After an approved Operator Booking Module connection is saved, allow approximately 24–72 hours for eligible products to appear on the Google Business Profile.
