About Viator
Viator is a global marketplace for tours, attractions, activities, and experiences supplied by operators around the world. Travelers use it to compare options, schedules, and traveler feedback across destinations, while experience businesses use the channel to reach an international audience researching what to do during a trip. Kanalio is integrated with Viator. The data and actions available through the connection depend on the channel, the account permissions, and the configuration enabled for your business.
How to integrate Viator with Kanalio
Before starting, make sure your Viator supplier account is active and that the products you want to connect already exist in Viator. Product start times, options, and ticket categories should match the corresponding setup in Kanalio.
- Sign in to your Kanalio dashboard.
- Open Settings.
- Select Plugins.
- Find OTA Connector and activate it.
- Open OTA Connector, find Viator, and activate the connection.
- Sign in to the Viator Supplier Extranet and open Account → Connectivity.
- Copy your Viator Supplier Code and enter it in the Viator connection in Kanalio.
- In Viator, select Connect Now under the connectivity settings, choose the reservation-system option indicated in your Kanalio connector, and save.
- From the same Viator connectivity page, download your products as a CSV file.
- Return to Kanalio and import that CSV file into the Viator connector.
- Map each Viator product to its corresponding Kanalio activity. Then map its option or start time and its ticket categories, and save the mapping.
- In Viator, open Products, select the product, choose Manage → Product Connection, and click Connect. Locate the matching external product, select the correct option, and save.
After activation
When you add a product, option, or start time in Viator, download and import a fresh CSV file and map the new item before using it. If Viator displays stale availability, use Availability refresh from the Viator connectivity page. If a product does not validate, confirm that it is active, that schedules and ticket-category names match, and that the correct product and option were selected on both sides.
